Routines

Routines...

As we move through our daily routines, we often find ourselves just checking the box. I know for me, sometimes it’s simply a matter of clicking off the alarm at 5:05, checking the clarity in my eyes, and getting out of bed. We check the box by getting dressed and heading out the door to our local AOs. Another box gets checked when we start with our disclaimers and the usual warm-up routine (come on...you know your AO has a go-to stretch routine no matter who’s leading). And finally, we check the last box—Circle of Trust, announcements, and prayer—because we know it’s important.

But lately, it’s occurred to me that sometimes we don’t put enough emphasis on actually getting things off our chest. We come together as men to get stronger and to lead stronger. And yet, we can overlook the power of releasing those thoughts, prayers, thank-yous, and praises to the men around us.

This is the Circle of Trust, isn’t it?

Sure, an FNG needs to be around long enough to build that trust—but once he’s there, the support should be undeniable. And it should be encouraged.

So here’s my challenge:

Next time you're in the COT, don’t just stand there waiting for it to end. Say something. It doesn’t have to be profound. It doesn’t have to be polished. It just has to be real.

Whether it’s a praise, a struggle, a prayer request, or even a simple thank-you—speak up. You never know who needs to hear it. And more importantly, you never know what healing or strength might come from just letting it out.

That’s what the Circle of Trust is for. Let’s not just check that box—let’s use it.

The BOM – Blog Of Man

Re-Introducing The BOM – Blog Of Man

By: Your Friendly F3 Austin Nantan

Are blogs even a thing anymore? Maybe, Maybe not...But I had this little blog section sitting on the F3 Austin website back when I was ComzQ… and completely forgot about it (sound familiar - see: digital flyer page).

However, in my continual and often desperate effort to get more clicks or search engine thingys to lead more men to us, I figured, why not fire this thing up ? Let’s just hope I can keep it going longer than my 30-yard bear crawl.

So here it is....The Official launch of The BOM (Blog Of Man).

It’s a place where I’ll hopefully drop some thoughts, advice, occasional nonsense, and hopefully a little inspiration.....all in the spirit of F3’s mission to invigorate male community leadership.

Why a blog?

Honestly, I really am hoping it just a shit ton of clicks on the F3 Austin website, but mostly because every click is a step closer to someone finding ua and saving them from sad clown syndrome. So if a guy stumbles onto a workout map, a flyer, or this blog and it leads him to post....that’s a huge win in my book!

You’re Freed to Read

But no pressure....I know life is full, and reading isn’t always top of the list. And while getting that FNG traffic is high priority, I hope when you do get a chance, you’ll also find value here and something that sticks, inspires, or even just gives you a good laugh.

Want to Contribute?

Even better.... I’d love to get other voices in the mix. If you’ve got something to share, whether it be an insight from the gloom, a leadership lesson, or a good old-fashioned story, send it my way. The BOM is better when it's by many men, not just one guy in front of a keyboard who likes to talk to much...in this case write.

So check it out. Read a post. Share it. Write one. Let’s keep finding new ways to sharpen each other — one blog post at a time.

Let’s keep pushing forward.... in the gloom, and beyond.

P.S. This blog is proudly ChatGPT-assisted....meaning the thoughts, takes, and ramblings are mine, just written with a bit more polished (and fewer grammatical crimes hopefully as I did edit it a lot and I'm a very bad proof reader).
